What’s inside

Two Tools. Zero Fluff.

A tuner and a metronome, one swipe apart. The metronome keeps playing while you tune.

The watch tuner in Guitar mode, locked on E2: zero cents at 82.41 hertz, the needle green and centred, with the string strip below.

Lock It In.

Chromatic, or pick guitar, baritone, 4-string or 5-string bass.

  • Strings: the strip lights the string you play.
  • Needle: goes green inside 4 cents.
  • Strobe: the ring drifts sharp or flat and freezes when you land it.
  • Calibration: A4 from 435 to 445 Hz.

The mic opens when you raise your wrist to the tuner and closes when you leave. Your playing is read on the watch in real time and never recorded, stored or sent.

The watch metronome running at 120 BPM in 4/4 quarters, with the first of four beat dots lit and a large Stop button.

Feel the Beat.

30 to 300 BPM, in your ears and on your wrist.

  • Time: eight signatures, from 1/4 to 12/8.
  • Clicks: quarter, eighth, triplet or sixteenth.
  • Sounds: eleven clicks, plus Silent.
  • Tap tempo: tap the big number in time.

Haptic pulses hit your wrist with the accents you choose, so it keeps time in a loud room. Swipe over to the tuner and it keeps playing.

Privacy

Nothing leaves the watch

The watch app has no networking code in it. It never opens a connection, so nothing can leave your wrist even by accident.

  • The mic is used by the tuner and nothing else.
  • Your playing is read on the watch in real time. It is never recorded, stored or sent.
  • Lower your wrist and the mic closes 30 seconds after your last note, or after 3 minutes regardless.
  • No account, no analytics, no tracking, no ads.
  • Say no to the mic and the metronome still works.

Works on its own

No iPhone app needed. Get it from the App Store and it runs on the watch by itself.

Iron Ear for iPhone and iPad is a separate app and a separate purchase: ear training, fretboard maps, chords, the circle of fifths and its own tuner and metronome. See the iPhone app.
